TRAID and Assistive Technology

TRAID (Technology Related Assistance for Individual with Disabilities) is dedicated to providing assistive technology information and referral services. The purpose of TRAID is to facilitate the selection, acquisition, use and maintenance of assistive technology which can include items such as adaptive keyboards, communication devices, software and other equipment that will improve the functional capabilities of individuals with disabilities.

The TRAID Center is able to provide:

• Information on assistive technology
• Device demonstrations
• Assistive technology education programs
• Assistive technology catalogue library
• Help obtaining funding for assistive technology
• Recycling of used assistive technology devices
• Collaboration with Early Intervention Programs to provide assistive devices for children
ages 0-3 years.
• Monthly outreach to Watertown and Amsterdam.
