Uptown Theatre Supports Big Brothers Big Sisters Through Special Viewing of Alice in Wonderland
Utica, NY (February 24, 2010) – The New Uptown Theatre in Utica and Big Brothers Big Sisters have partnered for a fundraising event. The New Uptown Theatre will screen Tim Burton’s most recent film, a remake of the Disney cartoon-classic. Tickets are $5. The movie event comes as Bowl for Kids’ Sake approaches, the signature event for Big Brothers Big Sisters to help raise funds and recruit new volunteers. Big Brothers Big Sisters volunteers are selling raffle tickets in the lobby prior to the show.
“The New Uptown Theatre is very interested in supporting Big Brothers Big Sisters and Upstate Cerebral Palsy,” said Tracey Mills, owner of the New Uptown Theatre. “This movie night is only one small way that we can partner with community programs to help the youth in this area. The Uptown is pleased to reach out and support these local non-profits.”
